It’s fall so it’s time to bring on all the pumpkin recipes! I’ve dug deep into the blog archives to share all of my favorite pumpkin recipes I’ve made over the years. There are traditional pumpkin favorites like pumpkin bread and muffins and plenty of creative pumpkin cookies, breakfast ideas, and even some savory pumpkin recipes.

Pumpkin Bread (and Muffins)
For me, the fall baking season is not complete without making a few batches of pumpkin bread and pumpkin muffins. I’m sharing my classic pumpkin recipes but also a few with updated twists. Pumpkin pairs with so many flavors including peanut butter, chocolate and Nutella and I love experimenting with new combinations. I hope you find some new pumpkin bread and muffin recipes to try.
Flourless Pumpkin Bread | Of course, I have to share a pumpkin bread first, so I’m sharing one of my favorite pumpkin bread recipes that is so easy to make you don’t even need a bowl. Instead, use your blender to make the batter and pour it into a loaf pan. The bread is fluffy, moist and full of fall spices. And there’s no flour, so it’s also gluten-free. For a chocolate twist, try my Flourless Chocolate Pumpkin Bread, too.
Double Braided Pumpkin Bread | This yeast-based pumpkin bread is perfect for holiday meals. It bakes up soft and is spiced with cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg. The leftover bread makes the most wonderful Pumpkin French Toast.
Pumpkin Bread | This pumpkin bread is a traditional quick bread recipe that’s easy to make. I’ve been making this bread for years and it’s always a must-make during the fall season. Prefer muffins? Try my Pumpkin Muffins recipe or, if you like Nutella, you might like my Nutella Swirl Pumpkin Bread.
Flourless Nutella Pumpkin Muffins | These mini flourless Nutella muffins are so delicious! They are light, airy, and very chocolatey. One bowl, no mixer, and they are ready in less than 20 minutes from start to finish.
Flourless Pumpkin Pie Muffins | These mini muffins that taste like pumpkin pie in muffin form and are ready in less than 30 minutes. They are delicious as well as being paleo-friendly, wheat-free, gluten-free, and refined sugar-free. You might like my Mini Flourless Peanut Butter Pumpkin Muffins, too.
Pumpkin Cakes (and Pies)
Pumpkin pie is a classic (and I’m sharing my favorite recipe!), but sometimes it’s fun to switch things up and make different kinds of pumpkin desserts like pound cakes, custard cakes, and brownies. If you’re looking for creative pumpkin cakes to make this year I think you’ll find some keepers in this list.
Pumpkin Nutella Cakes | These individual pumpkin-flavored cakes are moist and fluffy and filled with a delicious Nutella spread.
Pumpkin Cake | This pumpkin cake has a tender crumb similar to a pound cake. It’s easy to make and a wonderful dessert during the fall season. I also have a year-round Pumpkin Pound Cake I like to make that is not heavily spiced or check out my eggless Pumpkin Custard Cake.
Mini Pumpkin Pies | I love to make mini desserts for the holidays and these mini pumpkin pies are always fun to make.
Pumpkin Brownies | Technically, brownies are not cake but these eggless pumpkin brownies bake up with a fudgy cakey texture. Plus, you only need one bowl to make them! If you want even more pumpkin flavor you might like my Pumpkin Swirl Brownies, too.
Pumpkin Magic Cake | This two-layer dessert has a layer of pumpkin pie and a layer of chocolate cake, creating a very moist and delicious cake. The magic part is that the dessert separates into two layers while baking.
Pumpkin Mug Cakes
Sometimes making a whole loaf of pumpkin bread or baking a big pumpkin cake is a hassle so I’ve come up with all sorts of fun and creative pumpkin mug cakes. You know, for those times when you’re craving fall flavors but don’t want to make a big mess in the kitchen. These are single-serving cakes that will get you in the fall spirit.
Nutella Swirled Pumpkin Mug Cake | This quick and easy pumpkin spice mug cake is made even more delicious with a generous swirl of Nutella. It takes just minutes to make in the microwave and is a great single-serving cake for fall. Or, try my gluten-free Flourless Nutella Pumpkin Mug Cake that doesn’t have any flour.
Pumpkin Pie Mug Cake | If you enjoy pumpkin pie but don’t want an entire pie to deal with, this is for you. Single serving pumpkin pie mug cake, ready in less than 10 minutes.
Pumpkin Spice Latte Mug Cake | This mug cake has all the flavors of a pumpkin spice latte. In just a few minutes you can have a mini pumpkin spice cake flavored with espresso and topped with whipped cream just like your favorite coffee house drink but as a single-serving cake!
Pumpkin Cinnamon Roll Mug Cake | This single-serving cinnamon roll cake is pumpkin flavored, with swirls of cinnamon sugar throughout and finished with a pumpkin pie spiced cream cheese icing.
Flourless Pumpkin Mug Cake | This gluten-free pumpkin mug cake is one of my favorite treats to make when I don’t want to make a whole loaf of pumpkin bread. You get all the fall spices plus a fluffy cake in less than 10 minutes start to finish.
Pumpkin Cheesecake Mug Cake | This cheesecake is cheesy, soft and with a touch of pumpkin spice. No, it’s not exactly the same as a baked version, but it’s pretty close and takes less than 10 minutes to make.
Best Pumpkin Spice Mug Cake | I’m one of those people who can’t have just one slice of pumpkin bread. If I make a loaf I usually end up eating most of it myself! So, this easy pumpkin spice cake is how I do some portion control. It’s a perfect single-serving cake that’s full of pumpkin flavor. I also have a Skinny Pumpkin Mug Cake that has all the same great flavors but with fewer calories.
I’ve made lots of pumpkin cookies over the years and I these are some of my favorite recipes. Shortbread cookies, ones with chocolate chips and Nutella, and pumpkin bars are always a big hit with my family.
Pumpkin Spice Shortbread Cookies | Shortbread cookies are all about the melt-in-your-mouth buttery texture so for these cookies I used pumpkin butter instead of pumpkin puree. The cookies are sandwiched together with a rich and decadent dulce de leche sauce.
Pumpkin Snickerdoodles | These cookies are a fun fall twist on traditional snickerdoodle cookies.
Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Bars | Rich, dense and gooey pumpkin bars with chocolate chips are a sweet fall treat. They are a great make-ahead dessert for potlucks and parties or you can freeze them to enjoy later. If you love fall flavors then these dessert bars are for you.
Microwave Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookie | This single serving microwave cookie is ready in just a few minutes. As an added bonus, it’s also egg-free! You mix everything in a mug, put it on a plate, and cook it for less than 1 minute for a soft pumpkin spice cookie.
Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies | These pumpkin chocolate chip cookies are an irresistible treat during the fall. The cookies are studded with melty chocolate chips and the cookies puff up as they bake so that they’re soft and pillowy. This pumpkin cookie recipe is definitely one of our favorites.
Nutella Swirl Pumpkin Cookies | I love the combination of Nutella and pumpkin and so these cookies are always a sweet treat.
Pumpkin Breakfast Recipes
Of course, you can always serve homemade pumpkin bread for breakfast, but there are so many other ways to give your favorite breakfast treats a pumpkin twist. Overnight oats, bubble buns, doughnuts and energy bites are a few of the ways I like to put a pumpkin spin on breakfast.
Pumpkin Overnight Oats | I love overnight oats as a quick and easy make-ahead breakfast during the week and this version is like a pumpkin pie you can eat for breakfast.
Mini Pumpkin Donut Muffins | Donut muffins are great because they taste like cake donuts but are easier (and cuter!) to make. Of course, I have a pumpkin version and they’re always a favorite fall breakfast or brunch treat.
Cinnamon Pumpkin Bubble Buns | These bubble buns are a fun pull-apart breakfast bread that will fill your house with the aroma of fall spices. Or you might like my Cinnamon Pumpkin Monkey Bread, too.
Pumpkin Pie Energy Bites | No-bake, paleo, and gluten-free pumpkin pie energy balls are a healthy snack and taste like pumpkin pie filling. They are a great way to use up leftover pumpkin puree.
Pumpkin Doughnuts | These baked mini donuts are coated in cinnamon and sugar. They’re a fun breakfast treat.
Pumpkin Pull-Apart Bread | I love pull-apart bread and this version is one of my favorites. I love peeling off the layers of pumpkin bread coated with cinnamon.
Savory Pumpkin Recipes
So, we already know pumpkin is great in baked goods and desserts, but have you ever used pumpkin in savory recipes? Pumpkin is actually quite mild in flavor and pairs great with savory ingredients. So, if you’re looking to try some savory pumpkin recipes here are a few of my favorites.
Pumpkin Macaroni and Cheese | This pumpkin macaroni and cheese is ultra creamy with a subtle hint of pumpkin. It’s warm, comforting and ready in less than 30 minutes.
Pumpkin Soft Pretzel Bites | These soft pretzels have a hint of pumpkin and are a bite-sized savory treat. Or, try my Cinnamon Pumpkin Soft Pretzels which are bigger like traditional pretzels.
Pumpkin Dinner Rolls | These rolls are great for holiday dinners. They bake up nice and soft and go with lots of savory dishes. It’s a unique way to change up traditional dinner rolls.
Baked Pumpkin Chips | These baked pumpkin chips are a crunchy, healthy and easy snack. If you enjoy the flavor of pumpkin, this is a great alternative to regular potato chips. Another fun snack is Pumpkin Fruit Leather which is fall-inspired homemade fruit roll-ups.
Pumpkin Garlic Knots | Pumpkin pairs wonderfully with garlic and these rolls are a great addition to a holiday dinner.
Pumpkin Fries | I love sweet potato fries so for this recipe I thought, “why not pumpkin fries?” These baked fries are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.
